Sofirn SC18 1800 Lumen 217m Throw Rechargeable EDC Flashlight Description
The Sofirn SC18 1800 Lumen 217m Throw Rechargeable EDC Flashlight is a budget-friendly, compact flashlight designed for everyday carry, ideal for camping, hiking, and emergency use. For example, its 1800-lumen output can light up a trail up to 217 meters during a night hike, ensuring reliable visibility. With USB-C charging, a simple user interface, and a durable build, it offers practical functionality. Featuring a 1-year warranty, this Sofirn SC18 for Outdoor Use suits campers, hikers, and EDC enthusiasts.

Powerful Illumination for Outdoor Use
The Sofirn SC18 features a Luminus SST40 LED, delivering a maximum output of 1800 lumens with a beam throw of 217 meters, powered by a single 18650 Li-ion battery (3000mAh, included with some versions). It offers six modes, controlled by a side switch, with the following lumen outputs and runtimes:

• Turbo: 1800 lumens for approximately 2 hours (steps down due to heat)
• High: 800 lumens for approximately 3 hours
• Medium: 350 lumens for approximately 7 hours
• Low: 100 lumens for approximately 20 hours
• Moonlight: 3 lumens for approximately 150 hours
• Strobe: 1800 lumens (runtime not specified)
The flashlight charges via a USB-C port in about 60 minutes with a 5V/2A charger, featuring a battery indicator on the side switch (green for good, red for low, flashing red for critical). It is IP68 waterproof (submersible to 2m) and 1m impact-resistant, with Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) technology to prevent overheating, though it can get warm on Turbo mode, requiring careful handling. This makes the SC18 a versatile choice for outdoor use, though users should manage heat and ensure proper battery insertion.

Durable and Compact Design
The Sofirn SC18 is constructed from aerospace-grade 6061 aluminum alloy with a Type III hard-anodized finish, offering durability for rugged outdoor conditions like camping or hiking. It measures 101.5mm in length (4 inches) with a head diameter of 24.7mm (0.97 inches), weighing 55g without the battery (approximately 100g with battery), making it lightweight and pocket-friendly for EDC. The flashlight features a TIR optic for a soft, balanced beam, a friction-fit pocket clip for secure carry, a lanyard hole for added security, and double knurling for a solid grip, though the clip may snag on fabric, suggesting careful placement. This makes the SC18 a durable, compact choice for outdoor use, though users should handle the clip with care.

Designed for Outdoor and EDC Use
The Sofirn SC18 1800 Lumen 217m Throw Rechargeable EDC Flashlight for Outdoor Use is tailored for campers, hikers, and EDC enthusiasts needing a reliable, affordable light for outdoor activities, emergencies, or daily tasks. For example, its 217m throw can light up a campsite, while the 150-hour Moonlight mode ensures extended use for reading or navigation, though the lack of a detailed battery direction indicator (no silk-screened logo) may confuse some users during insertion, and the proud switch design can lead to accidental activation, suggesting a lockout mode for storage. The IP68 rating, simple UI with mode memory (except Turbo and Strobe), and reverse polarity protection enhance its reliability, but users should avoid direct eye exposure due to its intensity. The SC18’s low cost, USB-C charging, and compact design make it a practical choice for outdoor scenarios, offering a balance of power and convenience, though users should plan for switch management and battery care.
