The Osight R is Osight’s first rifle red dot. It is an enclosed-emitter 1× optic on the Micro T1/T2 footprint, so it fits the same mounts used by Aimpoint Micro-style sights.

The window is 28 mm × 22 mm (1.10 in × 0.87 in), with multi-coated glass. Eye relief is unlimited and the optic is listed as parallax-free. Reticle colour is red at 650 nm.

Three reticle choices:

• 2 MOA dot
• 65 MOA circle
• Dot and circle together

Hold the minus button for about two seconds to cycle the reticle. There are 12 brightness steps: 9 daylight and 3 night-vision. A dedicated NV button switches between daylight and night-vision sets. Each set remembers its last level.

Motion Activation Technology turns the optic on when it moves and off after 3 minutes of stillness. If voltage drops below 2.2 V, the reticle triple-flashes once a minute as a low-battery warning.

Battery life at brightness level 5, on one CR2032:

• 2 MOA dot: up to 83 000 hours
• 65 MOA circle: 18 000 hours
• Dot + circle: 15 000 hours

The battery tray is side-loading and held by screws, so you do not remove the optic to change the cell.

Clicks are 0.5 MOA. Total travel is ±50 MOA windage and elevation.

The housing is CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium. Size is 69 mm × 36 mm × 64 mm. Weight is 190 g with the standard mount and battery. Waterproof rating is IPX8 (1 m, FL1). Working temperature is −30 °C to 60 °C. Storage is −40 °C to 70 °C.

The included ORS-153 Picatinny mount sets the optical centre at 38.99 mm (1.535 in) for a lower-third co-witness. Optional Osight mounts (sold separately) are 30.7 mm (1.21 in) and 49.0 mm (1.93 in). Removable front and rear lens covers protect the glass. The front cover can be swapped for the included anti-reflective device.

Use it on a carbine, PCC or rifle with a Micro T1/T2 mount. It is a rifle optic, not a pistol-slide optic.

Do not look into the emitter. Confirm zero after mounting. Use the stated screw torque on the mount. Keep the lens covers on in transit.
