The Sofirn SD09L 6800 Lumen 542m Throw Rechargeable Diving Flashlight with 21700 Batteries is a robust, specialized light designed for underwater use, ideal for scuba diving, cave exploration, and emergency underwater tasks. For example, its 6800-lumen output can illuminate a path up to 542 meters underwater, ensuring reliable visibility. With a side switch interface, a durable build, and included external charging, it offers practical functionality. Featuring a 1-year warranty, this Sofirn SD09L for Outdoor Use suits divers and underwater enthusiasts.

Powerful Illumination for Outdoor Use
The Sofirn SD09L features three high-efficiency SST40 LEDs, delivering a maximum output of 6800 lumens with a beam throw of 542 meters, powered by two included 21700 Li-ion batteries (5000mAh each). It offers multiple modes, controlled by a side switch, with the following lumen outputs and runtimes:

• Turbo: 6800 lumens for approximately 5 hours
• High: 1500 lumens for approximately 10 hours
• Medium: 500 lumens for approximately 20 hours
• Low: 100 lumens for approximately 40 hours
• Strobe: 6800 lumens (runtime not specified)
The flashlight requires an external charger for the included 21700 batteries, with charging time varying based on the charger (approximately overnight with a supplied charger), and includes a battery level indicator that displays power status for 5 seconds after turning on. It is IP68 waterproof (suitable for depths up to 100 meters) and designed to withstand harsh underwater environments, though it may heat up during extended high-output use, requiring careful handling.

Durable and Compact Design
The Sofirn SD09L is constructed from A6061-T6 grade aluminum alloy with a hard-anodized finish, offering durability and corrosion resistance for underwater conditions like scuba diving or cave exploration. It measures 251.1mm in length (approximately 9.88 inches) with a diameter of 48mm (1.89 inches), weighing 221g without batteries (approximately 721g with the two included 21700 batteries), making it suitable for dive gear carry. The flashlight features a toughened mineral glass lens, a side switch with an upgrade slot for a thicker wrist strap, and a lanyard attachment for added security, though its length may require secure attachment to avoid loss underwater.

Designed for Outdoor and Diving Use
The Sofirn SD09L 6800 Lumen 542m Throw Rechargeable Diving Flashlight with 21700 Batteries for Outdoor Use is tailored for divers and underwater enthusiasts needing a reliable light for scuba diving, cave exploration, or emergency underwater tasks. For example, its IP68 rating supports dives up to 100 meters, while the 40-hour low mode ensures extended use for prolonged exploration, though the side switch UI requires practice to cycle through modes (five modes: Low, Medium, High, Turbo, Strobe), and the automatic lockout feature (after 1 minute of inactivity) necessitates a double-click to unlock. The robust construction and included wrist strap enhance its reliability, but users should avoid direct eye exposure due to its intensity and rinse it with fresh water after use to maintain performance. The SD09L’s affordable price, included batteries, and waterproof design make it a practical choice for underwater scenarios, offering a balance of power and convenience, though users should plan for charging logistics and switch familiarity.

Note: Ensure the flashlight is locked (double-click the side switch to unlock after automatic lockout after 1 minute off) or stored securely after use to prevent accidental activation, which could drain the batteries; the side switch can be sensitive. Use the included 21700 batteries with proper polarity (positive terminal toward the head), and remove any insulating film before first use. The IP68 rating supports submersion up to 100 meters, but clean with fresh water and lubricate O-rings after each dive to maintain waterproofing. Handle with care during Turbo mode to avoid burns due to heat buildup, and do not shine the light directly into eyes due to its intensity. Store in a dry place to maintain reliability, and avoid exposing the switch to sand or debris.
